  • A Leavenworth man was arrested early Saturday morning after he allegedly threatened to kill his roommate with a knife, a police spokesman said.
    The incident was reported around 12:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Riverview Avenue.
    The 62-year-old suspect reportedly argued with his 61-year-old roommate about furniture.
    At some point, the suspect allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen and threatened to kill his roommate. No injuries were reported, said Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.
    The suspect was arrested for aggravated assault and a criminal threat.
