  • A Lansing woman was arrested Wednesday morning after she allegedly fired several shots inside her home, a police spokesman said.
    No injuries were reported.
The 42-year-old woman apparently was the only person at the residence at the time shots were fired, said Capt. Ben Ontiveros, of the Lansing Police Department.
Officers responded to the residence in the 200 block of Jayhawk Court around 8:40 a.m. for a report of shots fired.
"Multiple shots were fired throughout the house," Ontiveros said.
The shots are believed to have been fired from a .22 caliber rifle, causing damage at the residence.
Ontiveros said he did not know why the woman allegedly fired the shots. He said police were still investigating the incident to determine if anything else criminal had occurred.
The woman was arrested for unlawfully discharging a firearm inside the city.
