Leonard Webster Wilkens, 29, of Leavenworth, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, as a result of a motorcycle accident in Atchison County, Kan.

Leonard Webster Wilkens, 29, of Leavenworth, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, as a result of a motorcycle accident in Atchison County, Kan.
He was born July 4, 1984, in Leavenworth, the son of Carl Edward and Margaret A. (Gould) Wilkens.
Leonard is survived by his two daughters, Kayla Marie and Mallory Layce Wilkens; his parents of Leavenworth; two brothers, Millard Wilkens and Carl E. (Brandy) Wilkens; two sisters, Elizabeth Louise (William) Wilkens-Fleshman and Katherine Matilda (Andrew) Wilkens-Leon; his grandmother, Ellen L. Wilkens; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Millard E. Wilkens and his maternal grandparents, Marion and Mary Gould. 
Leonard graduated from Leavenworth High School. He worked for Tim White at Final Vinyl as a carpenter. Leonard loved spending time with his two girls and his family. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing freebie golf, Nascar Races and watching the Chief’s play football. Leonard was a fun loving person who would give you the shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Visitation beginning with praying the rosary will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Joseph Church with Rev. David McEvoy, O.Carm., as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
