To the editor:
Below is a poem I wrote, "Soul to Gun:"
The man who had lost his soul
caused so many tears to spill
an ocean roared across the city
even now they come
the eyes are never dry

The man with no soul
broke hearts so deeply
time could not heal the wounds and cried in dismay

The man in need of a soul
like so many others
took a gun and fired
stopped the world

Only a man without a soul
could take a gun and without one tear, not even one
take what was mine, yours
like so many others
never caught

The man without a soul has a gun
