  • Larry and Mary Sue (Kneen) Coppinger, Winchester, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
    They were married on September 19, 1964, at the Winchester Christian Church in Winchester, Kan.
    Larry retired from the Fort Leavenworth Media Support Center in 2002. Mary Sue ran an in-home daycare for many years and later retired from Heartland Home Care Services in Lawrence in 2009. They currently own and operate Coppinger Honey.
    They are the parents of six children: Michelle (Andrew) Holland, Sherry (Terry) Thompson, Teri Coppinger (Jim Tompkins), Cari (Dan) Barlett, Randi (Curtis) Hoffmann, and Lucas (Andrea) Coppinger. They are also the proud grandparents of 13 grandchildren.
    Their children will host a dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Winchester Community Building, 411 Spruce St., Winchester. The couple is celebrating their golden anniversary over the summer while the entire Coppinger family is in town. All family and friends are welcome. The couple requests no gifts.
