A Leavenworth man was taken to the hospital after his motorcycle struck a road sign near Lansing, the Sheriff's Office reported.

A Leavenworth man was taken to the hospital after his motorcycle struck a road sign near Lansing, the Sheriff's Office reported.

The crash was reported at 5:05 p.m. Sunday at Kansas 5 Highway and Marxen Road.

The 29-year-old man was traveling north on K-5 on a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle. The vehicle went off the road and struck a sign as the highway curved, according to a Sheriff's Office report.

The man was transported to University of Kansas Hospital.
