  • A woman reported that three men shot at her vehicle while she was in the parked truck early Sunday morning in downtown Leavenworth, a police spokesman said.
    No injuries were reported.
The incident was reported at 2:01 a.m. at Haymarket Square, 649 Cherokee St.
The 26-year-old Independence, Mo., woman told police she was in her truck when three unidentified men approached and shot at her vehicle, said Maj. Dan Nicodemus, Leavenworth Police Department deputy chief.
The men then fled in a separate vehicle.
"She was not struck or injured," Nicodemus said.
He said police located empty shell casings at the scene, and there was damage to another vehicle parked in the area. There was no damage to the victim's vehicle.
Nicodemus said the victim was unable to provide descriptions of the suspects other than they were males. They reportedly left the area in a red truck with silver rims.
