  • Authorities are trying to identify a man who reportedly threatened a Leavenworth fast food employee with a Taser gun and firearm after he was told a restaurant was out of a beverage he wanted, a police spokesman said.
No injuries were reported. The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. Thursday at Taco Bell, 2925 S. Fourth St.
The suspect reportedly ordered a beverage at the drive-through window but was informed the restaurant was out of that particular drink.
"The customer got a little upset," Leavenworth Police Chief Pat Kitchens said.
The man reportedly requested to receive something for free and argued with Taco Bell staff.
The suspect allegedly pointed a Taser gun at an employee, a 22-year-old man. The suspect then allegedly pointed a handgun at the victim, Kitchens said.
    The suspect then drove away.
He was described as a white man who was wearing a red baseball cap. He reportedly was driving a blue Toyota sedan.
"We're actively searching for the suspect," Kitchens said.
Kitchens said police believe they have five of the six characters of the suspect's license plate number.
He said police also are reviewing footage from video cameras at the restaurant.
