  • Three people were injured in a wreck Thursday afternoon at 20th Street and Eisenhower Road, a police spokesman said.
The crash was reported at 2:41 p.m.
An 18-year-old Leavenworth woman was driving south on 20th Street in a 2002 Ford Mustang when she stopped for a stop sign at Eisenhower Road. She then attempted to turn left while allegedly failing to yield to a 2011 GMC Yukon that was traveling west on Eisenhower Road, said Maj. Dan Nicodemus, Leavenworth Police Department deputy chief.
    The two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Mustang suffered cuts and abrasions. She transported herself to the hospital.
A 45-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Mustang, was transported by Leavenworth County EMS to Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital to be treated for a neck injury, Nicodemus said.
The Yukon's driver, a 68-year-old rural Leavenworth woman, was transported by EMS to Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital for an arm injury.
The driver of the Mustang was ticketed for allegedly failing to yield from a stop sign, Nicodemus said.
