Caleb Vetter is a local film director. He and his brother, Cory, operate Vetter Brothers Filmworks in Leavenworth. In this Quick 5 interview, Caleb talks about his new movie, The Matchbreaker, which he is currently shooting.

1. Caleb what is your new film The Matchbreaker about and when will it be released? Did you write the script as well as direct?
The Matchbreaker is about a young man that loses his job and takes a one-time gig breaking up a girl's relationship for her disapproving parents.
Because of his success and word of mouth among other parents, he gets several more similar jobs, essentially turning him into a professional match breaker. Complications arise when he falls in love with one of his client’s daughters and has to balance his secret job and love life.
The original idea and first draft were written by myself and Wesley Elder, the lead actor in the film. The screenplay was written by Torry Martin and Marshal Younger, who have co-written over 300 episodes of the family radio drama Adventures in Odyssey as well as nine other feature-length screenplays.

2. With the success of your movie, Pawn's Move, which was featured on Netflix, are you optimistic that the new film will receive great reviews and lots of viewers?
We're very optimistic about the reach of this film. We've attached some name talent who already bring a large audience to the project. Christina Grimmie, who is playing our lead female character, is a well-known YouTube star with 3,000,000 subscribers.
She competed in NBC's The Voice last year, placing third in the competition. We also have other YouTube stars such as Olan Rogers, Tessa Violet, and Shawna Howson, as well as Victoria Jackson (SNL), Osric Chau (Supernatural, 2012), Ben Davies (Courageous), and Chris Massoglia (Cirque du Freaque: The Vampire's Assistant).

3. You are filming important scenes in Kansas City Thursday and Friday nights. Are you looking for extras from the Leavenworth area? How can readers find out more about this and sign up to take part?
Yes, we're filming two important scenes this Thursday and Friday.
The information for those events can be found on facebook and we welcome all extras. https://www.facebook.com/events/404896026362783/https://www.facebook.com/events/339132446255677/

4. How did you get into filmmaking and why did you decide to form CV Productions? What has been the best part of being able to pursue a career that you have a passion for?
I've actually always wanted to be a filmmaker.
We have footage of me at age 4 jumping in front of the camera asking "Can I see?" because I wanted to look through the viewfinder. I started acquiring gear at age 12 and began shooting wedding videos, dance recitals, and other corporate projects to get a feel for the medium.
In 2008, I tried my hand at a larger project that gave me the knowledge and experience to produce our feature Pawn's Move in 2010 which is currently available on Netflix.
During all of this we operated under the name CV Productions, but a few years ago re-branded to our current name of Vetter Brothers Filmworks.
The best part of doing what you love is that most of the time it doesn't even feel like you're working.
The whole "never work a day in your life" mentality doesn't always apply because there will be times you have to push through, but when a project comes together like The Matchbreaker it makes it all worth it.

5.  When will the movie be released and what's next in your cinematographic journey?
The release of The Matchbreaker is yet to be determined and will depend on our distributor, but we anticipate a release late 2016. You can keep up with the lastest on the film on the facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/MatchbreakerTheMovie.
We have several projects in various stages of development, and there are two films in particular that we're pretty excited about getting to, but can't release any details just yet.
