The Richard Allen Cultural Center in Leavenworth will be sponsoring “Jazz by the River,” a benefit for the center, from 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 28 at Leavenworth Landing Park, 123 Esplanade St. in Leavenworth.
Musical acts include Melvin Lister Sr., J9, the Darryl White Quartet and Robin Gant. In addition to music, the event will include food and retail vendors.
The event will happen rain or shine. Tickets cost $20 and admission is free children younger than 12 years old.
