They originally planned to raise money for their class.

But students studying catering at Leavenworth High School decided to use a fundraiser to support relief efforts for Haiti.

Students in the high school’s Pioneer Pantry Catering Club raised $600, according to teacher Gloria Carney.

She said students pre-sold 530 suckers to be delivered as Valentine’s Day gifts next week at the school.
