Public Notice: From First Judicial District Juvenile Justice Authority Central Administration “Changing the lives of at-risk youth and their families for safer, stronger Atchison and Leavenworth Communities.” To: Atchison and Leavenworth County Media Outlets Attn: Youth Service Agencies Re: First Judicial District Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Funding Public Release Dates: November 21, 2008 – January 09, 2009 The First Judicial District Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board (JCAB) announces State Fiscal Year 2010 Delinquency Prevention Strategy and funding cycle. Agencies or individuals are invited to apply for funding with the First Judicial District Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Project and Juvenile Justice Agencies. Grant funds are made available to the district through the Kansas Juvenile Justice Authority and are governed locally by the Leavenworth Board of County Commission. This is a Competitive Bid process. In summary, eligible programs must: Serve Atchison or Leavenworth County youth and families, Be willing and able to participate in program evaluation methods, and Apply by deadline January 09, 2009. In summary, proposed services must: Be research based and have accountability measures; Provide youth with positive social opportunities and activities that are proven to prevent juveniles from delinquent or criminal behavior.
