Fifty years ago, Pat Corley was a student at the then new Patton Junior High School at Fort Leavenworth.
He returned to his old junior high school Thursday and helped reopen a 1958 time capsule.
Corley even was able to locate his name among student signatures that had been placed in the capsule.
