The “On the Run 5K or Walk” sponsored by the Lansing Historical Society is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The race will start and finish in front of the Lansing Historical Society museum at 115 E. Kansas Ave., one block off Kansas Highway 7. The course will take runners and walkers through the Lansing Correctional Facility grounds away from traffic. Families and walkers are welcome to participate. The cost is $25. For an entry form, go to www.lansing.ks.us. Click visitors, attractions and events. A T-shirt will be given to all participants and a race packet "goodie bag" and awards will be presented.
