Kids in the Kitchen moved back

The Kids in the Kitchen program presented by the Kansas State University Research and Extension Office of Leavenworth County has been rescheduled. The sessions are now scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. June 22 and July 13, 20 and 27 at the Lansing 4-H building.

The hands-on workshop series will be led by the office’s master food volunteers and is designed for those between the ages of 9 and 12 years old. The sessions will cover techniques involved in baking cookies, quick breads, cakes and brownies and yeast breads. The registration fee is $5 per session or $15 for all four sessions and is limited to 25 participants. Those interested are encouraged to pre-register by June 16 by calling the extension office at 913-364-5700.
