The Lansing Police Department has released security camera images of the man who robbed a restaurant Tuesday morning.

Police also have released an image of a vehicle that was in the area of the robbery.

The robbery was reported at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday at Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, 237 N. Main St.

The suspect entered the restaurant and pointed what was believed to be a handgun at an employee. The robber demanded money. He left after being handed money, according to Lansing Police Chief Steve Wayman.

The restaurant had not yet opened for the day.

The suspect is believed to be a white man who is about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing a black jacket with a hood and blue jeans. He also wore a white mask over his face.

Police have released two images of the robber.

They also released an image of a red pickup truck.

Wayman said investigators do not know if this truck was used by the robber, but the vehicle was in the area of the restaurant at the time of the robbery.

"It's a vehicle of interest right now," he said.

The images were first published on the Lansing Police Department's Facebook page. Wayman said he hopes the images will help generate tips to the Police Department.
