The incident was reported at 10:02 p.m. in the 1400 block of Sanders Street.

A 35-year-old woman allegedly pointed a handgun at her 25-year-old boyfriend during an argument.

“They wrestled over the gun,” said Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.

A shot was fired, striking a sofa.

The woman was arrested for alleged aggravated assault, Nicodemus said.
