A murder mystery is coming to Leavenworth.

The Levity Players Group will present “Murder at the Art Auction or Going Once, Going Twice, Gone!” at June’s Northland on Monday.

The dinner and show begin at 5 p.m. at the restaurant, which is located at 614 Pottawatomie St.

“Auction is a brand new show,” said Greg Marino, producer of the Levity Players Group. “There’s great food from June’s and a wonderful, funny show. Laugh and eat and repeat. Come cool off during the dog days of summer with a great show and the delicious food.”

The dinner show also will include an actual art auction.

Marino said “Auction” is another “funny and witty show” by the Levity Players Group.

“When you go to our shows, you enter an environment where the mystery evolves organically,” Marino said. “Each show is different. There are multiple resolutions in each show. About 80 percent of our show is improvisational. This is a 360-degree, in your face theater experience.”

Marino said audience interaction is a major element of each Levity Players Group performance.

One of the actors in the show is Leavenworth’s Brenna Castor, who plays Grace “Blingie” O’Malley.

Marino said performances by the Levity Players Group are family friendly with no harsh language.

Reservations are required for the dinner and show. Tickets are $50 per person for the dinner and show. To make reservations, call 913-651-7000.
