Vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles will be on display again this weekend at Ray Miller Park at the Leavenworth Cruisers’ 31st annual Car & Bike Show.

The annual event begins with registration at 8 a.m. Saturday. Judging in numerous categories will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will include a silent auction, raffles, door prizes, food vendors and a disc jockey who will be playing music from the 1950s and 1960s.

Phil Martin, president of the Leavenworth Cruisers, said the event attracted 230 entries last year. He is anticipating approximately 300 entries this year.

“We look forward to doing this every year,” Martin said. “It’s pretty popular. People like to stop by and look at the cars.”

Special awards will be given for such things as best paint job, best interior and best restored original. Awards also will be given for the best muscle car, best street rod and best import.

Awards also will be given to the top 50 vehicles in a vote by participants and the public.

The fee to enter the show is $20 per vehicle. There is no entry fee to attend the event.

The annual show has been held every year since 1987, when Martin started the club in the backyard of his Leavenworth home.

“We only had four or five members then,” he said. “It’s grown a lot.”

Ray Miller Park is located at 4101 S. Fourth St. in Leavenworth on the west grounds of the Eisenhower VA Medical Center.

In the event of rain, the show will be held at the same times Sunday at Ray Miller Park.
