A man was airlifted to the hospital after a pickup truck overturned in southeast Leavenworth County, according to a Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

A man was airlifted to the hospital after a pickup truck overturned in southeast Leavenworth County, according to a Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

The incident was reported at 1:23 a.m. Saturday near Archer Road on 158th Street.

The 25-year-old McLouth man was taken to the hospital after he was extricated from an overturned Dodge Ram 2500 truck. He was flown by helicopter to the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas, according Undersheriff Jim Sherley.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.

The crash is still under investigation.
