Abi White, PR Coordinator with Page Communications talks about the upcoming Disney on Ice show.

1. What can ‘dreamers’ from the Leavenworth/Lansing area witness in the upcoming Disney On Ice show entitled “Dream Big?”
With the production of Disney on Ice Dream Big, everyone can expect a little bit of everything. We tell the story of nine different princesses and their princes. We have the classics like Snow White, Cinderella and Aladdin, to the more modern stories like Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and Frozen. This show is also unique with special effects like a fire-breathing dragon and a team of acrobats doing some pretty incredible tricks.

2. What Disney princesses will be featured and what kinds of adventures will they be embarking on?
This show is packed with all kinds of adventures. We have Tinkerbelle taking us from one world to another, Aladdin running away from angry townspeople after stealing an apple, Snow White running into her handsome prince in the forest, we have Lumiere giving Belle a warm welcome into the castle, Flynn Rider taking Rapunzel to finally see the lanterns, Ariel sacrificing her voice to meet Prince Eric, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen jazzing it up in New Orleans, Prince Philip fighting against Maleficent to reach Princess Aurora, Cinderella dancing the night away with Prince Charming, and of course, Anna and Kristoff climbing the North Mountain in search of Queen Elsa.

3. How will the high-flying jumps and daring acrobatics combined with lovable Disney characters make the Dream Big show the perfect experience for the entire family?
The incredible talent of our athletes makes this show very special. We have many single skaters who are doing difficult jumps and spins, as well as pair teams that involve our strong men lifting girls over their heads in beautiful positions. One of the most unique numbers in the show is our all boy sailors production during the Little Mermaid segment. It is an all-boy number, that involves multiple jumps and spins, and its own acrobat team. Multiple acrobats get launched off a teeter board and there are even backflips happening. All of this is done in the middle of the ice while wearing skates.
Everyone can connect to Disney, one way or another. Girls love seeing their favorite princess gliding across the ice, while boys love to see our villains and our fire-breathing dragon.
We also have Mickey, Minnie, Sebastian, Goofy and Olaf. Dream Big has so much to offer it’s difficult to leave without a smile.
