Three people were taken to the hospital following a crash over the weekend near Tonganoxie, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Three people were taken to the hospital following a crash over the weekend near Tonganoxie, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 5:57 p.m. Sunday at U.S. 24-40 and 182nd Street.

A 24-year-old Tonganoxie woman was driving north on 182nd Street in a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. She allegedly failed to yield as she attempted to cross the westbound lanes of U.S. 24-40. The Jeep struck a westbound 2003 Buick Century.

The Tonganoxie woman had a possible injury following the crash. She was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, according to the KHP report.

The other driver, a 59-year-old Edwardsville woman, was injured in the crash. She was transported to the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas. One of her passengers, a 2-year-old girl, also was injured. The girl was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, according to the KHP report.
