Two people were injured when vehicles collided in southwest Leavenworth County, according to an official with the Sheriff’s Office.

Two people were injured when vehicles collided in southwest Leavenworth County, according to an official with the Sheriff’s Office.

The crash was reported at 6:43 a.m. Thursday on McLouth Road near Leavenworth Road.

A 57-year-old McLouth man was driving west in a Cadillac vehicle when the car went left of the center of the roadway. The car collided with an eastbound Ford Fusion, according to Undersheriff Jim Sherley.

The driver of the Cadillac suffered a broken leg. He was transported to the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas.

The other driver, a 43-year-old McLouth man, suffered minor injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to Sherley.
