A Leavenworth woman was taken to the hospital following a collision on South Fourth Street, a police spokesman said.

The crash was reported at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday south of the intersection of Fourth and Limit streets.

A 19-year-old woman was driving a 2009 Ford Fusion. As she entered Fourth Street from a parking lot, she reportedly failed to yield to a northbound 1996 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by a 37-year-old Leavenworth man. The vehicles collided, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.

The woman was transported to the hospital. She also was ticketed for allegedly failing to yield while entering a roadway from private property.
