One person was taken to the hospital following a collision in downtown Leavenworth, a police spokesman said.
The crash was reported at 12:48 p.m. Tuesday at Fourth and Shawnee streets.
A 57-year-old Leavenworth woman was driving north on Fourth Street in a 2017 Ford Expedition. She allegedly failed to stop for a red light, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.
The vehicle collided with a 2014 Honda Pilot that was traveling west on Shawnee Street.
The 55-year-old Leavenworth woman who was driving the Pilot had been preparing to turn south. She was transported to Saint John Hospital to be treated for neck pain, Nicodemus said.
The driver of the Expedition was ticketed for allegedly not stopping for a red light.
