A Lansing pizza shop was robbed Saturday over the weekend, according to a police spokesman.

The incident was reported at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pizza Hut, 407 N. Main St.

Two men reportedly entered the restaurant and demanded money from an employee. It is believed one of the robbers was armed, Lansing Police Chief Steve Wayman said.

The employee turned over an undetermined amount of money. The two men left the building.

“No one was hurt,” Wayman said.

The robbery took place before the restaurant opened. Wayman said police are trying to determine how the robbers were able to enter the business but it does not appear they forced their way into the restaurant.

Wayman said police do not have a description of the robbers beyond their gender. He said police are trying to obtain security camera video from the restaurant.
