The Leavenworth Police Department has released photographs of a man investigators want to speak with in connection to a Dec. 25 homicide.

The Leavenworth Police Department has released photographs of a man investigators want to speak with in connection to a Dec. 25 homicide.

Police do not know the identity of the man in the photographs. Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department, said the images came from surveillance video.

“This is someone we want to talk to about the case,” Nicodemus said.

The deputy chief did not comment about the unidentified man's possible connection to the case.

Police are investigating the death of Shavar A. Walker.

Walker, 33, Kansas City, Missouri, was reportedly shot several times Dec. 25 outside of an apartment complex in the 500 block of Vilas Street following an altercation. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

No arrests have been made.

Nicodemus has not commented about a possible motive for the shooting.
