Wet weather late last week caused a little havoc for organizers of the Lansing DAZE and Brew, Blues and Bar-B-Que event at Kenneth W. Bernard Community Park.
Coordinator Tim Dossey said attendance last Friday was smaller than usual but he was pleased with the attendance Saturday.
Organizers provided a shuttle service from Lansing High School to the event on Friday as parking at the park was limited due to the wet grounds.
The event typically has been held in the large grassy area at the park.
But the vendors, carnival rides, stage and barbecue competitors were moved to the cement pavement area.
“We knew having it in the grass would have been a disaster,” Dossey said. “We did the best we could.”
Dossey said organizers and city officials will have a post-event discussion on this year’s event.
