High temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper 90s with heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees.

Heat illnesses are possible for those spending prolonged time outdoors or those more susceptible to these type of illnesses, such as children and the elderly, according to the advisory.

People are urged to take precaution if they have to work or spend time outside.
