Tickets are on sale for a casino fundraiser that will benefit a local historical society.
The second annual Wild West Casino Night is set for 6 p.m. June 29 at the Riverfront Community Center, 123 S. Esplanade St.
The event is a fundraiser for the Leavenworth County Historical Society in its operation of the Carroll Mansion Museum, 1128 Fifth Ave.
Visitors are welcome to come to the event dressed in western wear.
“Don your western wear, bring all your friends and join in the fun,” said event coordinator Holly Pittman.
She said last year’s Wild West Casino Night was a success. Approximately 175 people attended and the historical society raised about $9,000. All proceeds go to the historical society.
Guests will be issued $5,000 in play casino money that they can gamble with on a wide assortment of casino games.
Wild West Casino Night also features a chuckwagon meal of chicken fried chicken and brisket.
There will also be a silent auction, trivia questions related to Leavenworth, old-time western movies, mouse races and lots of raffle prizes. The grand prize in the raffle will be a trip to Las Vegas.
The cost of the event is a suggested donation of $30 per person in advance. There will be a few tickets for $40 at the door on the night of the event.
