At least three of the four vehicles that were stolen recently from a Lansing car dealership have been recovered, a police spokesman said.

And suspects have been taken into custody in another jurisdiction.

Lansing police Capt. Ben Ontiveros said at least three suspects are being investigated in connection to the theft of vehicles reported July 4 at Speedway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 555 N. Main St., as well as thefts in other jurisdictions.

Ontiveros said a detective with the Lansing Police Department has been working with officers in Kansas City, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri.

Once the Lansing investigation has been completed, the case will be forwarded to the Leavenworth County Attorney’s Office for possible criminal charges.

The theft at Speedway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram occurred sometime the night of July 3 or early July 4.

Thieves apparently broke into a building at a dealership to grab keys, which they used to drive away with the stolen vehicles, according to Lansing police Lt. Mike Dickason.

One of the vehicles taken from the Lansing dealership was valued at more than $71,000.
