The city of Leavenworth will close the playground at Buffalo Bill Cody Park beginning Tuesday to install new playground equipment. The closure is anticipated to last until November. Construction is dependent upon the weather.

The city of Leavenworth will close the playground at Buffalo Bill Cody Park beginning Tuesday to install new playground equipment. The closure is anticipated to last until November. Construction is dependent upon the weather.

The parking lot on the north side of the park will also be closed and there will be limited access to the picnic shelter.

Other open playgrounds in the city include Bob Dougherty Park, 800 N. Second St., Jefferson Park, 1100 Kickapoo St., David Brewer Park, 1801 Ottawa St., Wollman Park, 1300 Shawnee St., Stubby Park, 1501 S. Fourth St., and Hawthorn Park, 1100 Ohio St., Southside Park, 2600 S. First St.
