Law enforcement officers seized suspected drugs and one person was arrested during a search Friday at a Leavenworth residence, a police spokesman said.

Members of the Leavenworth Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team served the search warrant at about 11:45 a.m. in the 900 block of Kiowa Street.

One person at the home was arrested for an unrelated warrant, said Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.

During the search, police seized what they believe to be a narcotic, but Nicodemus did not comment about the type of drug.

The deputy chief said the amount seized is indicative of sales.

The drug will be sent to a laboratory for testing.
