Gene Caballero is the co-founder of GreenPal an app that connects homeowners with local, vetted lawn care professionals. In this Q5 he talks about the business.

Gene, what is GreenPal and how does it make owning a home easier for people? Did it recently launch in Leavenworth?
GreenPal has been described as Uber for lawn care and is the easiest way for homeowners to find, schedule, and pay for their lawn services.  GreenPal has been operative in the Kansas City area and several other surrounding markets including Leavenworth for over a month now.

How does it work?
Homeowners looking for lawn care list their lawn and then local pre-vetted lawn pros will bid on the properties.  Homeowners can then see price, ratings, and reviews and then decide who they want to work with.

Once the vendor has completed the service what happens?
After a vendor is done servicing the property, they will take one picture of the completed work.  That will serve as the digital invoice and be sent to the homeowner for approval and payment through the app.

Why is this is a safe and reliable way to ensure lawns are taken care of?
This is safe because homeowners can read the vendors ratings and reviews and then decide who they want to work with.  Scouring through craigslist looking for a lawn guy is as unreliable and unsafe as it gets.  Every GreenPal vendor has to have commercial grade equipment, references, a valid social security number, and a valid bank account before they are able to bid on any properties on GreenPal.

How can people find out more about the service?
Homeowners can download the app or they can go directly to https://www.yourgreenpal.com/local/lawn-care-leavenworth-ks
