Fourth-grader Mara Ford throws a lasso Friday at Eisenhower Elementary School. Various activity stations with pioneer and Kansas themes were set up in the gymnasium and elsewhere around the Fort Leavenworth school as Eisenhower celebrated Kansas Day. Friday marked the state’s 149th birthday.
