A copy of the 2010 Census questionnaire is now available at the city of Leavenworth’s Web site, www.lvks.org. The form is for informational purposes only, and should not be filled out. Official 2010 Census forms will be mailed to residents in the middle of March.
Posting the form online is part of the city’s effort to raise awareness about the importance of all residents completing the 2010 Census form.
“Getting an accurate count is critical for the city, because the 2010 Census will set the city’s official population for the next 10 years, and is a key component in determining federal funding and representation,” Paul Kramer, the city’s public information officer, said in a news release.
Residents can also view Frequently Asked Questions and a Fact Sheet dealing with the Census by clicking “2010 Census” under the Featured Projects subhead on the city’s home page.
Questions about the 2010 Census can be directed to Kramer at pkramer@firstcity.org, or at 680-2610.
