Man attempts to leave accident scene two times

A rural Tonganoxie man allegedly drove away Friday after striking another vehicle but returned to the scene a short time later. He tried to leave again, but his car stalled, according to a report from the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office.

The 33-year-old man ended up being arrested for a warrant that had been issued in another county and an allegation that he assaulted a woman at the scene of the crash, according to the report.

The incident was reported at 2:56 p.m. Friday at 19230 McLouth Road.
