An Easton area man who had been scheduled to stand trial next week for an aggravated robbery charge has entered into a plea agreement to resolve multiple court cases.
Russell L. Ehart Jr., 25, entered a series of no contest pleas Friday in Leavenworth County District Court.
As part of the plea agreement, there will be a recommendation for prison sentences that total 7.5 years, according to Deputy County Attorney John Bryant.
Sentencing has been scheduled for Jan. 6. Ehart remains free on bond as he awaits sentencing.
In the robbery case, Ehart pleaded no contest to one count of attempted robbery and two counts of aggravated assault.
The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred April 16 along Mount Olivet Road after the victims’ vehicle had become stuck in mud.
