A man whose trial ended with a mistrial earlier this month was back in Leavenworth County District Court on Friday.
Chris King, 33, is charged with two counts of rape involving sexual intercourse with a child who is less than 14 years of age, one count of aggravated criminal sodomy and one count of indecent liberties with a child.
The crimes are alleged to have occurred between Aug. 20, 2007, and Jan. 3, 2008, in Linwood.
A request for a mistrial was granted in the case Nov. 3. When requesting the mistrial, defense attorney Scott Toth cited concerns about information uncovered after the trial began as well as things prosecution witnesses had said during their testimony.
The prosecutor did not object to a mistrial. No new trial date has been set.
King appeared in court Friday for a status hearing and pretrial conference.
