An Easton man has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison for shooting another man after a bar fight.
Brian E. Hughes, 36, was sentenced Friday in Leavenworth County District Court for attempted second-degree murder.
Hughes shot Les Trader Nov. 17 at The Legends of Country Music Bar & Grill, 107 N. Third St. in Easton.
The two men had fought at the bar. Hughes left but returned with a gun and fired at Trader, wounding him.
Hughes had been charged with attempted first-degree murder, but he pleaded no contest last month to an amended charge as part of an agreement with the prosecutor.
