“Education not politics,” read one of the signs held by demonstrators Thursday in front of the Leavenworth public schools administration building.

Parent Amy Stark said the demonstrators are upset with a majority of the Leavenworth school board and the superintendent.

“We don’t agree with the decisions they’ve made for our district,” Stark said.

She said the catalyst for the demonstration was a board decision regarding Principal Janine Kempker.
