Two witnesses testified Wednesday during a preliminary hearing for a man charged in connection to a robbery that involved a shooting.

But the hearing for Donell Hale won’t conclude until later this week.

Deputy County Attorney John Bryant indicated Wednesday that he wanted to file an additional charge of attempted second-degree murder.

District Judge Gunnar Sundby said he wanted to see the written complaint for the new charge before making a decision about whether to have the defendant bound over on the charge.

“I would like to see what the exact charge is,” he said.

He continued the hearing until Friday.
