Officials from Fort Leavenworth and the surrounding community welcomed three new members to the International Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony.

According to a release, the International Hall of Fame was dedicated in 1973 to honor international military student graduates at the CGSC who went on to attain the highest rank in their country’s military.

One of the honorees at Thursday’s ceremony marked a first among the 231 inductees — Gen. Moeen Uddin Ahmed was the first member of the International Hall of Fame from Bangladesh.

Brig. Gen. Edward Cardon, deputy commandant of the Command and General Staff College, said all three of the inductees were worthy of the designation.
