Three rural Easton residents were arrested Tuesday after they were found to be in possession of items stolen from other people’s sheds the night before, the Leavenworth County sheriff said.
A fourth person fled from authorities but has been identified, Sheriff Dave Zoellner said.
Zoellner said the case is still under investigation and could lead to the solving of other burglaries.
“We’re right in the middle of the investigation and things are happening,” he said.
He said three outbuildings were burglarized during Monday night. He said the buildings had been unlocked. The thieves took power tools worth about $4,000.
