A Leavenworth man was taken to the hospital Saturday following a crash on Kansas Highway 92, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.
The crash was reported at 9:26 a.m. Saturday in the area of 16595 Springdale Road, which also is K-92.
The crash is believed to have to have occurred sometime on Friday, according to the report.
A Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck went off the roadway and into a ditch, according to the report. The vehicle came to rest about 75 feet from the road.
The 55-year-old man identified as the driver was transported by Leavenworth County EMS to Cushing Hospital, according to the report.
The truck was said to be a total loss.
Officers detected what they thought was a strong odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath, and open beer cans were found in the truck, according to the report.
