The timetable on a stimulus repaving project in Lansing is getting pushed up due to concerns about the weather.
According to John Young, director of public works for the city of Lansing, the intersection of 4-H Road and 147th Street will be closed on Saturday.
Originally planned to take place over two days, with one lane closed on each day, Young said the paving project extends from the intersection with 4-H Road to 147th Street and Prairie Hills Drive.
Instead of the original plan, Young said that stretch of 147th Street will be shut down to traffic completely on Saturday to allow two crews to pave both lanes simultaneously.
