A Leavenworth man was taken to the hospital Monday evening after he crashed into a fence, a police spokesman said.
The driver was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving, according to Lt. Kevin Crim of the Leavenworth Police Department.
The crash was reported at about 7 p.m. Monday in the area of Kiowa Street and 13th Terrace.
A 28-year-old man was driving east on Kiowa Street in a 1995 Honda Civic when the car went off the road, according to Crim.
“He refused treatment from EMS,” Crim said. “We transported him to the hospital.”
Crim said the man was treated at the hospital before being taken to jail.
