A deputy was sent to southwest Leavenworth County Monday for a report of vandalism to a billboard for Kansas State University, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.
The vandalism was reported at 4:18 p.m. Monday in the area of Interstate 70 and 238th Street.
Four posts that had been holding up the billboard were cut and the sign was pushed over, according to the report.
The owner of the billboard was identified as Lamar Advertising, Topeka.
The dollar loss was not immediately determined. The case was said to still be under investigation.
