The Historic Loft Tour is hosted by the Leavenworth Main Street Program’s design committee from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and will feature six lofts plus a glimpse of underground Leavenworth. Featured lofts are located at 200 Seneca St., 518-1/2 Delaware St., 510-1/2 Delaware St., 505-1/2 Cherokee St., 316 S. Fifth St. and 305 Cherokee St. All lofts are renovated and occupied except for one, which is in the renovation process and will feature artwork from the Leavenworth County Artists Association.
The lofts are new to the tour this year. Tickets are $5 for adults, children under 12 are free and must be accompanied by a parent at all times. Due to the nature of the lofts they are not handicap accessible. Tickets are available at Stitch by Stich Custom Embroidery, 305 Cherokee St.; Reunions Antiques, 418 Delaware St.; Quilters Quarters, 200 S. Fifth St.; Past to Present Home Decor, 518 Delaware St.; The Pot Rack, 626 Cherokee St.; Sally’s Choices, 412 Delaware St. and the Leavenworth Main Street office, 416 Cherokee St., 913-682-3924. Tickets will be available at each loft on the day of the tour and attendees may start at any loft, proceeding at their leisure to the other lofts.
The KC Aces will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday night at Haymarket Square as part of Main Street’s outdoor concert series. The classic rock band will make the fluid, time-tested sounds of Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and Mitch Ryder come alive. Beer, soda, water and barbecue will be on hand for purchase and the Rotary Club will have its wheel on site.
